CNC lathe run for a long time, it is inevitable that there will be a failure. Today we share with you two common failures of spindle and solutions.
1. Overheating fault of spindle motor of CNC lathe

1, failure phenomenon

A CNC lathe has a "gnawing knife" phenomenon during processing and running, and causes tool damage.

2, fault detection and analysis processing

A. uses the manual JVC jogging mode to adjust the lathe X and Z axis to the original point, restart the processing program, and carry out the trial run. When the table is rapidly fed to the machining position, the spindle still does not turn, so it is diagnosed that there is a malfunction of the AC variable frequency spindle motor speed governing system.
B. analysis of spindle motor is controlled by AC converter speed (because the machine tool manufacturers do not provide AC inverter internal drawings), so the use of "mathematical fuzzy overhaul", depending on the internal frequency converter as a "black box" only need to check its external function interface state can be judged.
C. first look at the LED alarm display contents of AC inverter control system.
D. is to distinguish between overheating, or overload, which means the motor is overloaded and rotated. It is very hot to touch the motor shell by experience at that time. After a period of forced cooling by a large fan, the heat of the motor decreases. When the motor is re tested, the spindle motor rotates normally. At this point, it is judged to be a typical motor overheating fault. After dismantling the spindle motor, after careful inspection, it is found that the bearing of the independent cooling fan motor is damaged and the heat dissipation is bad, causing the spindle motor to overheat alarm, resulting in a sudden stop of the spindle of the numerical control lathe when processing and running, resulting in a "gnawing knife" fault.
E. after replacing the independent cooling fan motor, the NC lathe operates normally and troubleshooting.

Two. CNC lathe spindle motor does not turn malfunction.

1, failure phenomenon

A CNC lathe, the production of an early shift, a spindle motor does not rotate, the spindle frequency conversion system LED also displays the alarm, but the spindle motor shell is not hot, other functions of the CNC system are normal.

2, fault detection and analysis processing

A. uses the manual and JVC jogging mode to adjust the worktable to the original position, restart the lathe to make it reappear, so as to confirm the authenticity of its failure, and the result proves that the trouble is as early as possible.
B. uses the hand to touch the spindle motor housing temperature is not high, according to the spindle motor has no temperature rise, thus eliminating mechanical overload caused failure.
      C. detects the control interface between the inverter and the CNC system with built-in PLC as shown in Figure 2. First, +24, ALM, a set of control signals is in place, no doubt. It is suspected that the overload control signal of the spindle motor is not sent to the inverter interface. When detected the OHS1 has been removed, a set of control signal lines of OHS2 is no problem, and when detecting the side OHS1 and OHS2 signal of the overheating device, the closed point of the device is detected. It is not closed to prove that the built-in overheating device has been damaged. Because there is no spare parts, carefully remove the overheating device, carefully repair the contacts, trial run production and processing is normal, troubleshooting.
